The Scout Uniform consists of:

  • teal green long sleeved shirt or blouse
  • navy blue Scout Activity trousers or smart navy blue skirt
  • leather Scout belt and buckle
  • 3rd Kingston Group scarf (either from 3rd Kingston Cubs or will be provided by the Group on investiture)
  • woggle (will be provided by the Group on investiture)

optional:

  • 3rd Kingston T-shirt

The position of badges on the uniform is shown below

THE KING'S CORONATION BADGE SHOULD BE WORN ABOVE THE JOINING-IN AWARDS

Only the highest gained of each of the Staged Activity Badges should be worn

All the Joining-in Awards earned to date may be worn (with the highest nearest the arm)

If you gained the Chief Scout's Silver Award in Cubs, it should be moved onto your Scout uniform until you gain your Chief Scout's Gold Award.

To see which badges should be transferred from your Cub sweatshirt to your Scout shirt / blouse, look at the Uniform section in the FAQs.

We do not expect you to get uniform straight away; we suggest that you give it a few weeks to give Scouts a try and during this time, wear your Cub uniform or, if you were not a Cub, clothes and shoes suitable to run around in. Uniform would then be required after about three to four weeks for the promise and investiture.
